Description
Tour description:
A technically easy tour but physically challenging as the ascent to the Kürsinger Hütte takes a few hours on the first day. You can expect a dreamy winter landscape far from the hustle and bustle and enjoyable descents over the glacier. You spend the night at the Kürsinger Hütte in Obersulzbachtal and the next day you head early towards the summit of Großvenediger.
From May and early to mid-June (depending on snow conditions), when the road into Obersulzbachtal in the Neukirchen am Großvenediger area has been cleared, climb over the north side and use the valley taxi in combination with the skis. The winter path leads over the frozen glacier lake or along its edge. In the case of warmer temperatures in spring, it is also possible to walk on the summer trail (we are in contact with our participants before the start of the tour to discuss the exact details of the tour.) The summit day begins early, as the ascent takes about 5 hours. The view rewards us for the exertion, because in front of us are the magnificent peaks of the Hohe Tauern, the Große Geiger, the Schlieferspitze, the Großglockner and many more. The descent down to the hut or past it is an unforgettable experience. After a long rest, the valley taxi will bring us back to the starting point (depending on the snow conditions).
Duration of the tour 2 days
